The Benefits of Weddings Set In a Castle
As soon as the winter months are over, the wedding season kicks into action and wedding venues start getting pretty busy. Most of the good venues will be booked up months if not years in advance, so unless youre very lucky, you need to plan well. Some of the most popular wedding venues in the UK, and places that are certain to be fully booked in 2010 are wedding castles. But what is the attraction?
Grounds. Almost all castles are blessed with acres and acres of lush Greenland and woodland. Who wouldn’t want their wedding taking place to such a backdrop, not to mentioned the brilliant wedding photos that these locations produce. Additionally, the grounds can sometimes be used for the event itself, but this is of course dependent on there being fine weather.
History. Some people like to get married in tacky places that havent got any culture or history. For most though, they are happier in a location that has a bit of history and where you can experience come quality. Old castles really help to set the scene for a fairytale wedding and have a quality that cannot be matched by newer buildings, no matter how large or fancy. There is a superstition that says the more weddings a venue has seen, the better the chances of the couples getting married in it will stick together, and castles have seen a lot!
Accommodation. If nothing else impresses you about a castle, at least they can provide some great accommodation. Most castles double up as wedding hotel also, which is not only convenient, much also makes more of an occasion out of the wedding. Everyone can enjoy the reception without worrying about having to get a taxi at some unsavoury time of night, or travelling miles to the nearest B&B.When morning comes and you set off for your honeymoon, everyone of importance will be ready and waiting for your send off.
