Avoiding Embarrassment While Traveling with Sex Toys
Taking a commercial flight, on a business trip or to your vacation destination, with the pile of great new sex toys you got at that sale on sex toys, such as vibrators or fleshlights can be a daunting concept for some. The thought of security rummaging through your bags, closely examining your vibrators and other sex toys is very embarrassing for many people. And although there’s not much you can do to completely avoid possibly uncomfortable situations, there are things you can do in advance to minimize them.
Your sex toys in checked luggage
If plan to be flying and taking at least one piece of checked luggage you probably don’t need to worry too horribly much and you can fill it to the top with all those sex toys, such as oversized dildos, electrosex toys and discount sex toys such as Smart balls and Cone, you think you’ll be needing. However, unless there is a security reason why you can’t carry them on, I would recommend not putting them in your checked luggage. There are a couple main reasons for this: 1) Luggage gets lost, sometimes only for a few hours or a few days, and rarely, forever. 2) Baggage handlers don’t always handle your bags properly, fragile sex toys such as vibrators could get crushed or damaged from other items in your bag. You don’t want to have to go shopping to replace those sex toys right when you arrive at your destination or go the entire trip without.
If you are taking lube, massage oil or some other form of liquids, be sure to put them in sealable plastic bags. Not doing so can cause some serious problems when you arrive at your destination just to find all your clothes slippery and well lubricated.
Putting sex toys in your carry-on bag
Pretty much the only thing that will make people want to check their sex toys over carrying them on is the fact that they have to go through security. You hear some pretty horrifying stories of security personnel making public the fact that some travelers have certain items in their bag. Although the chances of that happening now-a-days are very, very slim, there are a few things you can do to keep the overall process as easy as possible.
First, you might want to consider leaving your Kong dildo, Fleshlight or rabbit vibrator at the house and consider taking smaller, more discrete sex toys. There are a lot of fairly discrete sex toys out there that work very well for travel. But no matter which vibrator you choose, if you choose to bring one, always be sure to remove the batteries before you leave the house. The last thing you probably want happening is for something to bump your vibrator and it start buzzing during the security check or on the aircraft during some turbulence.
There are many sex toys that are created specifically for travel, you can often find your favorite style vibrator in travel form. Bullet vibrators and many other clitoral vibrators will always make a good travel choice due to their small size.
You can even buy “tubes of red lipstick” that, as it just so happens, vibrate! Nobody will even know what you’re carrying (don’t forget to remove the batteries!)
Carrying on lubricant or massage oils can cause some issues if you don’t first check to verify the amount of liquids that are allowed. Taking too much could be embarrassing if they have to take it from you and it would be unfortunate if you don’t have any when you need it most.
Other items to think about bringing
Because you never know when the mood or opportunity might strike you should seriously consider bringing some cleaning tissues with you for use before and after play time. You can carry these with you on the plane without a problem and are quite discrete. Finger vibrators or other stimulators are also great traveling toys; they’re very small and discrete and can be used in many different situations.
